Are you afraid yet?
Does it finally hit you that you must work on your mind and body the way you work on making money? Money is a necessity in the world we live in, but with this unbiased virus, we now see just how important our health is. Our bodies are complex and need to be cared for just in case a virus like this infects the population again.
Covid-19 is a respiratory sickness that constricts the breathing and enhances the chance of death if the body is weak. The things we do in our every day lives can continue to prevent this monster from winning. Most of us have busy lives and find it hard to get up and do a 30 minute workout, but this virus should be your wake up call. Seeing people disappear because their bodies were not strong enough to fight a virus should scare us all into a gym, a cooking class, or onto a near by high school track.
Keeping your circulatory system strong and free of blockage is important, your immune system working at its maximum capacity is a must, and steadying the mind helps protect the entire machine we call our body. Without good health we put our selves at risk for another unforgiving virus to come into our homes and ruin everything we’ve built and worked for. Nothing is promised, and we all drink and eat things bad for us, but we should all give ourselves and our loved ones a fighting chance. Prevention is far more important than a cure, and 2020 is showing us just how fragile human life can be.
Something microscopic, something we can not see with our eyes has almost destroyed the world around us. It doesn’t have muscles but it destroys weak ones, it has no brain but it breaks them down with fear, and it has no soul but it takes so many with it when it shows up.
So let’s look to be better for ourselves and the ones we love. Thirty minutes a day, three to four times a week will make you stronger and more equipped to fight any respiratory infection of this magnitude and whatever else comes down the line.
The foods we eat and feed the ones we love is just as important to our physical being, and some may argue more important. Our society has made it easy to “grab and go”, which makes it easy for this kind of virus to “grab us and go” as well. The food we eat is like the money we make, imagine working hard at your job and not getting paid at the end of the week. So why would we work hard physically only to not give the body it’s “pay”, what it needs to build itself stronger. Of course it’s nice to eat out and have something fast, we’re all guilty. But it’s extremely important that we fuel the body the right way, before treating ourselves to something fast and easy.
Fruits and vegetables aren’t hard to find, they literally exist in nature like the air we breath. It’s easier to make a salad than it is to make a beef cheese burger, it’s easier to grow an orange than it is to compress, box, and distribute orange juice. It’s important to combine our physical work with proper nutrition, one will not survive without the other. Not sure where to start click here for the Findaballer Cookbook.
This brings us to an even more important sector of our health, the mental health aspect of our bodies. We need proper rest, and a way to fight stress. Stress will destroy the mind and body faster than we think. Our mental state of being truly needs to be cared for, we need to stop and clear our minds once a week. Taking 30 minutes a week can be a great start to a good mental workout, eventually building up this process over time.
By giving our minds a chance to relax, we give it a chance to better process the world we live in. Turn off the television, social media, sit still, breath calmly, and most importantly learn how to let go just for 30 minutes. A computer burns itself out if we never shut it down every now and again. The battery eventually drains itself dry and will no longer be as strong as it used to be whenever you use it. We use our minds daily, and the brain needs the same kind of rest and rejuvenation. A strong mind helps build a strong body, so take some time for yourself and “shut it down”. The mind will always be a terrible thing to waste, so try not to waste too much of it. We have to stay ready, so we never have to get ready.
