Findaballer and Mechanicsburg Parks and Recreation came together to bring the community our first Basketball Fundamentals, IQ Learning, and Drills clinic. The clinic started March 11, 2021 – May 6, 2021. The co-ed youth group we had for the 1st Annual Findaballer Inc. clinic was a great turn out. As a result we had an active group with ages ranging from 6-9. Every child worked hard and enjoyed the 2.5 hours of training while learning the basics of basketball. Their focus and engagement was amazing as each child came ready to learn and have fun. After stretching we got right into drills and teaching. For example, here are some of the fundamental drills we had each child participate in.
There were many other drills they learned before we had them play a game at the end of the day. These end of day games allow them to utilize the new found skills they learned during training. In response to this training, the parents were very pleased with the clinic and overall program. Some had already enrolled their children in the next upcoming clinic. Findaballer is looking forward to having more clinics in the future with Mechanicsburg Rec Center as this is a great opportunity for the community. Covid-19 Pandemic Notice
Updates for 2021 Season
Findaballer thus far have held 2 sessions out of 8. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic which is a big bummer for all of us, this clinic was postponed. As of now our Clinic is scheduled to resume March 11th 2021 to May 6th 2021. We will return immediately to 1 on 1, and group training when our federal government officials lift social distancing and quarantine guidelines.
You can see the latest news here regarding the Pandemic. The department of health in Pennsylvania has information and guidelines to help keep your family safe.
We are excited and cannot wait to make this great experience possible again for all the kids who want to become a student of the game. As our Pennsylvania Instructor Micah Mccubbin recently expressed to our trainees and parents. “Everyone be safe out there and take care of yourselves. Even though we are going through a hard time, keep an optimistic view, and know that the light will SHINE through!”
