St Rose Defeats Rutgers Prep | 12-23-23

St. Rose, the No. 2 team in the NJ.com Top-20 rankings, who rolled to an 86-70 victory over No. 12 Rutgers Prep.  The game appeared to tighten in the beginning but as time passed. The St. Rose fundamental play seperated them from Rutgers Prep.

Matthew Hodge, a Villanova commit, was 15-of-16 from the field with seven three-pointers and a season-high 38 points to lead St. Rose. while Jayden Hodge added 18 points, four rebounds, and three assists.,Gio Panzini chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds for St. Rose. Jacob Canton scores two three-pointers in the first quarter, giving Rutgers Prep an 11-5 lead.

Rutgers Prep battled hard, with Myles Parker (18 pts, 3 reb, 4 ast) and Jacob Canton (23 pts, 5 reb, 6 ast) leading the charge. Andrew Kretkowski (9 pts, 5 reb) and Logan Franz (12 pts, 4 reb) also contributed.
