Who Is Micheal Rossetti?

Long Island has ballers, and they definitely have trainers. Michael Rossetti is one of the best out in Suffolk County, and a true Hometown Athlete. His resume speaks for itself, but here are a few things about Mr. Rossetti of Rossetti Basketball.

The Climb To The Top

Who is Micheal Rossetti? He’s a graduate of Centereach High School and was named the 2nd All-Time Leading Scorer in school history with 1,003 points. Through his four years, Michael received 10th Team All-New York State and 2nd Team All-Long Island honors 2002. Not too many of us played over 1 sport, but Rossetti played 3, yup he’s one of those guys. His high energy and competitive mind frame saw him excel at Soccer, Basketball, and Lacrosse. He received the Golden Key Award and Most Outstanding Athlete in his senior year.

College

His journey was far from over as he decided to attend Pace University on a full ride. During his time at Pace, he was known as a leader and earned the ECAC Merit Award in 2006. Throughout  his collegiate years, Michael represented Long Island in the Empire State Games 2003, 2004, and 2005, winning gold medals in 2003 and 2004.

Humility

 After earning an extra degree in Physical Education, Rossetti began working with students of all ability levels. He has served as a Junior Varsity head boys’ basketball coach and Varsity boys assistant coach from 2008-2011.

Who is Micheal Rossetti?

His passion for training led him to assist with several players, namely Lance Thomas, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Marco Jaric, Danny Green, Al Harrington, Andre Barret, Chris-Douglas Roberts, Eddy Curry, Dakari Johnson, and Dajuan Wagner to name a few. Michael has also had experience working with players who have paved their way overseas along with those at the Division I, II, and III collegiate level.

The Future Is Bright

Since founding Rossetti Basketball he has ballooned its programs, developing players of all ability levels. He has worked exclusively with players all over the Long Island region, along with players throughout the tri-state area and beyond. His passion for sport and his hard work has garnered him multiple college coaches’ connections and has allowed him to expand on his knowledge of basketball. Michael’s  camps have attracted multiple Division 1 through D3 coaches to inform the youth of what it takes to make it to the next level.

By facilitating the use of age appropriate progressions and instituting an instructional league in the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons, he’s built a platform for players to apply the skills learned in workouts into a competitive, supervised environment. Serving as one of Long Island’s notable basketball training programs, Rossetti Basketball demands a high standard from all players regarding attitude, work ethic, attention to detail, along with many other notable characteristics that coaches admire from his clients.
