Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is widely regarded as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.  Moreover, Mr. Curry is credited with revolutionizing the game by inspiring teams and players to take more three-point shots.

 

High School: Stephen Curry

Initially, Stephen Curry attended Davidson Day School in Davidson, North Carolina. He was a four-year starter in basketball and was named All-Conference three times. Curry was also named the conference player of the year in his senior year. Steph led Davidson Day to the state championship game in his senior year, where they lost to Oak Hill Academy.

Subsequently, Curry was a highly recruited player out of high school. He received offers from several major universities, including Duke, North Carolina, and Virginia. Stephen ultimately decided to attend Davidson College.

Curry’s high school experience was instrumental in his development as a basketball player. He learned how to play under pressure and how to lead a team. Curry also developed his shooting skills, which would eventually make him one of the best shooters in NBA history.

College: Curry

Curry attended Davidson College in North Carolina, where he played college basketball for the Davidson Wildcats. He was a two-time All-American and the 2009 National Player of the Year. Curry led the Wildcats to the Elite Eight of the 2008 NCAA Tournament, where they lost to eventual national champion Kansas. As a result, he was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Midwest Regional.

Professional: Chef Curry

Curry was drafted by the Warriors with the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft. He, however, quickly became one of the team’s best players, and helped them reach the NBA Finals in 2015. The Warriors won the championship, and Curry was named the NBA Finals MVP.

Stephen Curry has since won three more NBA championships with the Warriors (2017, 2018, and 2022), and has been named to the NBA All-Star team seven times. He has also won two NBA Most Valuable Player awards (2015 and 2016).

Current Status

In 2023, Curry is currently in his 14th NBA season. He is a two-time NBA MVP, three-time NBA champion, and seven-time NBA All-Star.
