Who Is Tristan Smith?

Mr. Smith is a Hometown Athlete from Amityville who terrified opponents on the court and the field. He is now owner/trainer of The Fit Lab USA facility in Mansfield, Texas.

The Climb To The Top

Who is Tristan Smith? The current owner of the Fit Lab USA, in Mansfield, Texas. Tristan played and starred on the boys Amityville basketball team. The team was known for their aggressive, and uptempo style of play. Smith started varsity as a freshman averaging 7.7 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals a game. He gradually built himself to be a standout player. In the offseason, as a two-sport athlete, he was afforded the opportunity to keep optimal fitness levels. This set the stage for a eventful career as a student-athlete.

High School

Tristan’s sophomore year found increasing playing time and stats.  The two sport athlete was averaging 11.6 points, 5 assists, and 2.9 steals per game.  While it is never an easy road to becoming a hometown name in any sport. Mr. Smith had a way of making things look easier than they were.

In his junior season, he tallied 16 points, 5.9 assists, and 3.4 steals a game. He guided his team to a class B state championship. This solidified Tristan’s name in the hallways and neighborhoods of Amityville. On his way, he collected All-Long Island second team to further his accomplishments.

He would not be outdone by himself come senior year. Smith averaged 23 points, 7.8 assists, and 4 steals per game. He helped lead his team to another class B state championship, also collecting the Suffolk County Player of the Year award. The superstar would also be selected to the All-Long Island first team as a senior. Tristan’s basketball accolades didn’t stop there as he collected McDonald’s All-American top 100, All Tri-State Team, and a Federation championship.

Who is Tristan Smith?

However, being the point guard on a team that outpaced and outlasted their opponents meant being in the best possible physical shape. This was helped by his ability to play football when the basketball season ended. He also led on the field as the quarterback. As a senior, Tristan utilized his quickness and strength willing his team to a Suffolk division 3 championship.

It is important to mention his hard work on the field earned honorable mention All-American, and Rutgers Cup champion. (The Rutgers Cup is presented by the Rutgers Club of Long Island to the outstanding football team of the year in Nassau. A list of the winners.)

College

 Tristan would finish his basketball career as a leader with 1,419 points and 507 assists over four seasons. He signed his letter of intent to play at St.John’s University his senior year.  His Amityville Warriors teams were a combined 52-4 with state titles his junior and senior seasons.

Humility

Tristan graduated from St. Francis New York college with a B.A. in Communications and Film. He continued his love for sports and hard work by starting his own training facility. Mr. Smith found a way to empower the youth and community.  The Fit Lab, in Mansfield,Texas is Tristan’s continued legacy to training and competing. The pro athlete turned entrepreneur is now empowering the youth with his work.

The Future Is Bright

There are always many obstacles in building a business. Tristan has found new ways to develop student and professional athletes in the sports world.
